Oceanwave is a prominent ITC (information and communications) solutions business and Europe’s leading marine WiFi provider, providing onboard broadband services to more than 40 marinas in the UK and Ireland on an exclusive basis, including all Yacht Haven Group and Premier Marina sites. Established in June 2006, the number of marinas offering the Oceanwave service is expected to increase to 50 by early 2008.

Boat owners can enjoy high-speed wireless internet access aboard their boats at the finest marinas in the UK and internationally using a standard laptop or PDA equipped with WiFi or 802.11b/g.

Our fast and convenient services work without installing any software. Instead the system is accessed online and time purchased using a credit or debit card. Subscription gives unlimited usage within a specified time period at all associated marinas in the UK.

At each marina there is a dedicated portal site that automatically opens when a user wishes to access the internet. Behind each location-specific portal sits the Oceanwave website – www.myoceanwave.com - which is an invaluable source of up-to-date information on all that is important in the sailing world. The site offers a comprehensive guide to using the Oceanwave broadband service, an online forum for chatting with other like-minded individuals, detailed guides to all Oceanwave locations, online weather reports, a marine news service and updates on the latest at Oceanwave, all at the touch of a button. 

Oceanwave WiFi service for marina managers
The Oceanwave solution gives marina managers:

• Marina-wide WiFi coverage for berthholders

All UK Oceanwave marinas have identical charges so once a user has subscribed at your marina they can roam and use the service at any UK Oceanwave site. Other charges apply in Ireland and other EU countries. The UK pricing is structured as:

• £5 for 1 day
• £15 for 1 month
• £30 for 3 months
• £100 for 1 year
